The Wilton Varsity Ice Hockey team finished their twenty game season (7-13). The team was anchored by seniors Greg Mondello, Andy Kessler, Dave O’Malley, Mike Witek, Ryan LaGuardia and goalie Rob Davy. The season was highlighted by a trip to Boston to play the Massachusetts power Don Bosco as well as a hard fought game up to the end against Connecticut’s #1 ranked Hamden. The team was blessed to have the top three scorers ever in Wilton High Hockey history: Ryan Equale, Mike Witek and Ryan LaGuardia (who accumulated 97 goals over his four years). The offense was further strengthened by Andy Kessler, Josh and Brooke Gibson. The defensive end was dominated by Greg Mondello, Dave O’Malley, Matt Blanchard and Scott Wolfman. In the net, Rob Davy was backed up by Tim Mahon and Joe Polito.
