With an overall record of 12-9-1, the Warriors ice hockey team certainly had a memorable season. The team had mixed results showing strength one game and then falling off the next. After missing the playoffs last season, the Warriors, seeded 10th, returned to the CIAC Division II tournament with a first round win over Shepaug Valley H.S. Unfortunately, a second round lost to Westhill ended the high school careers of seniors Joe Musso, Ryan Clancy and Rob Hutchinson. Barring injuries or players leaving, next year’s veteran squad should consist of 10 seniors. Key players for next season will be Chris Connelly, Joe Freimuth, Frank Pizzo, Peter Cambell, Eric Johnson, Frank D’Alessandro, goal-tender David Williams and O’Brian McMahon.
